At Homefront Builders, we love a challenge, especially when it involves revamping outdoor spaces. Recently, we tackled a project that epitomized this mission – a complete makeover of an undersized and dilapidated deck, resulting in a sleek second-story deck with a custom-built covered screened porch.
The initial deck was torn down to make way for something fresh and new. Our client shared their vision with us – a space where they could relax and entertain guests, a second-story deck with all the trimmings – drink rails, an outdoor ceiling fan, electrical outlets, and even a TV mount for outdoor entertainment.
The addition of a covered screened porch adds an extra layer of comfort and sophistication to any deck project. With crisp white railings, black balusters and grey deck boards that compliment one another; this color combination is our most popular choice amongst recent clients.
But we didn’t stop there. Our client wanted more functionality, so we added a paver walkway for easy access and gravel below the second-story to a concrete pad for outdoor equipment storage. The pavers create clean lines that are visually appealing, where the gravel serves as a foundation to eliminate the growth of grass that would typically grow patchy with lack of sunlight and rain. Every detail was meticulously planned and executed to exceed our client’s expectations.
